VAN BUILD | HOW TO DIY 8020 SOLAR ROOF RACK FORD TRANSIT AWD | WILLDERJESS ADVENTURES | UNDER $400

This video is a complete DIY How-To guide to build your own solar panel roof rack for under $400. The entire rack is bolted together, NO WELDING needed. You do need a chop saw (miter saw) with a 60 tooth tungsten carbide tipped blade for clean cuts and a table saw to build it, but most who are building a van have or have access to. Other than milling the block of HDPE plastic the cuts are very basic. The rack can be built with 4 sticks of 8020 aluminum and basic hardware components. 8020 is super strong as well as modular if the setup needs to be changed in the future. Its only limit is your imagination! The entire rack can be built in an afternoon, by anyone. We also will have a fully detailed more in depth article on our BLOG @ where we break it down and have plans for download!
